Kindy Connection
We are so lucky to have Ōtaki Kindergarten over our back fence. For those tamariki who will make the transition to Ōtaki School, there is ample opportunity to build relationships between the kaimahi of the school and the tamariki before they become a school student. Not only do we have many chats through the fence, but the Kindergarten visits at least three times a term. They come to Kono to meet the kaimahi there, as well as get a feel for the physical environment of the classroom. It is an opportunity for past students to see some of their old friends also and welcome them into the class. Tuakana, teina relationships in action. Thanks for your visit this week Ōtaki Kindy! Pai rawa ki te kite i a koutou!
